Healthy Marriages of Allen County is an coalition of community and faith organizations created with the goals of increasing the chances of lifelong marriages and creating stable families.

We all know about high divorce rates, increasing cohabitation, domestic violence, and the negative impact on children of families in chaos. Only with a united effort will we be able to impact our community by not only offering solutions to these problems, but also by offering preventative measures.

For the past two years, community leaders have been working towards a goal of strengthening marriages and together have launched Healthy Marriages of Allen County (HMAC). 

Our programs aim to reduce divorce, domestic violence and child abuse and neglect by offering classes and counseling and by providing mentoring in relationship skills. 

We begin by offering extensive pre-marital counseling and resources and continue with marriage-enriching programs concerning issues such as conflict resolution, communication, finances, sex, and parenting.

The HMAC coalition continues to grow in the number of organizations contributing to this effort as well as in the number of resources and training opportunities offered.
